When did people first start re-enacting the Civil War?

according to most records, it began in about 1961 for the centennial of the civil war. nice picture but it was probably army drills or something of the like. like the woman above me though, I saw the article about the very first.... there may have been even more but smaller and undoented. Just cause it's military doesn't mean it was a reenactment though.
