Rejected by a guy, anyone? (guys/girls opinion needed)?

Sorry for the loss...rejection is not easy, and sure, there are some that are tough regardless of how connected you were. Generally it happens when it's unresolved...meaning there was no 'explanation' for the rejection or loss...or it's not cleared in your mind. At this point if you see him frequent enough and it isn't that big of a deal...sit down with him and just be straight up with him about it. I'm not jokin' be real and be an adult. Be sincere and non-emotional...just the facts... That will clear up the hesitation and anxiety of seeing him again.
