Is this the prosecution making an example of section 20?
this is a case that we have been told it has very week evidence on both sides. a plea has been changed from guilty to not guilty . due to being charged with section 18 gbh now this is a section 20 charge. person accused has been in troutble when young at 17.never been in trouble since... the person is working and is seen as a respectable person within their community due to sport. the prosecution came forward with the negotiation of a 6 month suspended sentence if the plea was changed to guilty. once going before the judge he remanded the person accused in prison for 10 ten days. this person has never been arristed for this acusation and recieved an injury themselves. co operation has been very good with the police the whole way through this investigation. can anyone help?? a couple of people who work with the prison and criminal industry have said the judge could of done this for shock and to make an example??
