I need to know how to make sure nicotine doesnt show up in a blood test or urine test.?

I am having gastric byp surgery next month but the surgeon won't do the surgery if I am still smoking. I need to quit and I want to quit, but I need to know forsure that this method (whichever is suggested to me); is 100% going to work.
